The Story
We got so excited when we received these at Spanish Pig that we ripped a box open immediately. The taste of polvorones for many is the taste of Christmas itself.
Traditional Polvorones are a crumbly Spanish shortbread with almonds. As mentioned, a typical Christmas sweet cake made with almond, flour, lard, sugar, cinnamon and sesame, then baked in the oven. It is shaped into small cakes and wrapped in paper. Que bueno!
